This dual purpose float switch can be used for both emptying and filling operations. This non corrosive float switch mechanics are secured in water tight housing and stay functional for very long life. It directly Controls pumps up to 1/2 HP at 120 Volts or 220 Volts. Up to 12 Amperes continuous or 13.3 Non continuous AC Amperage. Environmental friendly (Mercury Free). suitable for use in overhead water tanks;septic;sump;and potable water applications. Internally Contains a Stainless Steel Ball. Includes adjustable counterweight. Constructed with non-toxic polypropylene. Float dimensions are 4.1 in x 3 in x 1.6 in (105 x 78 x 41 mm). Rated for indoor or outdoor use: operating temperatures 32 to 140F (0 to 60C). Please read instructions here on how to use this float switch in your water level control application. The float sensor switch comes with three wire connections. The black can be connected to AC or DC voltage. When the sensor is hanging 45 degrees or more downwards (low level);the blue wire gets conductive and when sensor is 45 degrees upwards;the brown wire gets conducts current. Depending on your application;hang the wire in water tank and slide the counter weight such that when the sensor is hanging 45 degrees downwards;it should be at desired low level and when it floats up 45 degrees upwards;it water level should be your desired high water level.The counterweight provides the pivot for the float sensor to float up and down to indicate high and low level in your water tank. You can then connect your pump with blue or brown wire (depending on filling or emptying application) and neutral from AC or DC supply. Your pump will now be controlled by this float switch.
